'La vida breve,' a Spanish Opera
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra performs Manuel de Falla's La Vida Breve.
Spanish maestro Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos presides over this unique opportunity to enjoy Spanish composer Manuel de Falla's passionate opera, La Vida Breve (The Short Life).
This story of love and betrayal among gypsies overflows with soaring arias and fiery dances. It will be performed, complete with English subtitles, by a full cast of singers and flamenco artists direct from Spain:
