The 2012 Festival of New Spanish Cinema in Vancouver presents some of the riskiest and most innovative Spanish films of the year.

In its fifth consecutive year, the 2012 Festival of New Spanish Cinema consolidates itself as the most important itinerant festival of contemporary Spanish Cinema in North America. The Festival, which will take place this year from September 2012 to March 2013, will screen some of the riskiest and most innovative Spanish films of the year, while providing a space for the audience to discuss the pieces with the filmmakers.

Friday, February 22
7 pm: Blancanieves (Snow White). Pablo Berger, 2012, 90 minutes.
Opening Night Gala: New Spanish Cinema Week. Gala tickets includes glass of wine, live flamenco entertainment.
Saturday, February 23
7 pm: Madrid 1987. David Trueba, 2011, 104 minutes.
9 pm: Mientras duermes (Sleep Tight). Jaume Belagueró, 2011, 102 minutes.
Sunday, February 24
