Cuarteto Quiroga in Montreal

The Cuarteto Quiroga, an internationally renowned Spanish string quartet, will make its Montreal debut at the MMFA, performing works by Haydn, Beethoven, and Bartók.
Praised by the New York Times for its “exquisite and interpretively fresh performances,” the Madrid-based Cuarteto Quiroga has established itself as one of the most dynamic and unique string quartets of its generation. Founded in 2003, the quartet takes its name from the celebrated Spanish violinist Manuel Quiroga, one of Spain’s most eminent string players.
For its appearance in Montreal, the ensemble revisits the great quartets of Haydn, Beethoven, and Bartók.
