Filmmaker Guillermo G. Peydró at 'A Switched-on TV' conference
Peydró’s lecture is entitled Un écrivain-cinéaste dans la télévision de Franco : les films sur l’art de Jesús Fernández Santos.
Guillermo G. Peydró will lecture at the Conference A Switched-on TV. The arts in the black and white of the cathode ray tube, presented within the framework of the International Market of Films on Art (MIFA), in partnership with the International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA) and the Cinémathèque Québécoise.
Guillermo G. Peydró is a filmmaker and Ph.D. in Art History, a film programmer for the international film festival Punto de Vista, and invited curator for the Modern Art Museum of Mexico DF (MAM).
In his thesis he studied the critical dialogue between cinema and the visual arts since the advent of the 20th century, as well as its aesthetic, academic and political uses. Author of films on sculpture, architecture, painting, poetry or theater, in 2014 he was invited to discuss the conclusions of his theoretical and practical work in the ACLA Seminar at the New York University.
