Vetusta Morla 2019 North American Tour in Toronto
The Spanish indie rock band Vetusta Morla famous for its intensive live performances will play an intimate show at Toronto’s Adelaide Hall on October 5.
Vetusta Morla is a Spanish rock band formed in the late 90s that goes beyond the stereotypes of that genre. They incorporate sounds and rhythms that come from outside the rock tradition, but maintain the core without falling into world music.
From the Vive Latino arena in Mexico City to Luna Park in Buenos Aires, or from the crowds at Madrid’s Palacio del Deportes (where they led 3 consecutive nights at the end of their 2015 tour) to Bogotá Rock in the Park, Vetusta Morla’s live shows are intense, their sound forceful, their performance precise, and the special connection with their audience unique. Their lyrics are suggestive and invite the listener to participate actively.
They have sold out countless shows after a nearly 20-year career, and have earned countless awards and accolades such as the Best Live Sound from Spain and Portugal at the Iberian Festival Awards, 10 Independent Music Awards between 2015 and 2016, and the 2014 Rolling Stone Awards as Group of the Millennium and Record of the Year for their album entitled La Deriva.
